Through my work as a journalist, I have had the opportunity to meet and write about amazing people and their stories.

One of my favorite pieces of work was while I was writing for The Borgen Project, a national advocacy center for eradicating global poverty. During my time here, I was able to meet and interview one of my favorite musicians, Djappa Man—all the way from North Africa, who began the Tunisian hip hop collective Zomra (which means "clique" in Arabic.)

A huge eye-opening experience was interviewing an widely known European musician for the Cape Coral Breeze, the German pop-artist Michael Wendler, who recently moved to the states and suddenly became "un-famous." I met him on his quest to be the first to introduce "schlagger" to the U.S.
